Colina Bruce

Handcrafted and community-centered, Colina Bruce’s Noir Lux is more than eco-friendly candles. It has slowly but surely grown into a booming small business and is now a brick-and-mortar studio and apothecary. It is a labor of love dedicated to self-care, good vibes, nostalgia, and fostering community while supporting other small businesses. 

Colina Bruce, Founder and Chandler, worked in the education sector for over 15 years before opening Noir Lux Candle Bar. It has been her life's work to advance equity and excellence for ALL scholars and families, specifically through finding ways to center scholar and family voices. Additionally, she has been invested in exploring ways to celebrate culture and build community. She considers Noir Lux a hub and incubator space in the eye of the needle. 

When she's not working or in the kitchen being a candle scientist, you might find Colina supporting her hubby at a live music show, running around making moments and memories with her kids, eating any kind of seafood, brunching, or happy hour-ing with her girls, teaching as an adjunct professor or at home with her family watching thriller movies or murder mysteries.
